What is anti-wrinkle injections?
These injections typically made from Botulinum Toxin, which is a neurotoxin that is used to reduce the appearance of wrinkles.  The chemical temporarily blocks the nerve impulses to the muscles, preventing them from contracting.  The solution is injected in precise areas of the skin and takes effect over 2 weeks.  After 3-6 months, the body will clear thetoxin and muscle contractions will return.
How long does it last for?
Between 3-6 months.  A small percentage of the population develop an antibody to Anti-Wrinkle Injections and the results may not last as long.  However, this is a very small proportion of the population.
What causes wrinkles?
Wrinkles are depressions in the skin which are caused by muscle contractions in the face causing them to shorten, leading to skin forming depressions.  The skin gets used to this movement and these depressions become ‘ingrained’ into the skin forming wrinkles.
Receiving Botulinum injections twice a year prevents the muscle contraction allowing the skin to recover and non-movement.
Wrinkles start to develop around the age of 28 which is when patients start to look at such treatments.

What are DermalFillers?
Fillers are injections of hyaluronic gel placed into the skin at different depths to enhance facial volume and augment facial features, such as the lips.  The fillers are temporary as eventually the gel is absorbed by the body.
How Long Does It Last For?
With all filler treatments, they last much longer with repeated treatments.  Results can last for up to 9 months with the first treatment, but after the second, results can last up to 18 months.  This is not precise as the filler is metabolised at different rates between individuals.
What type of filler do you use?
We stock most types of filler but only use hyaluronic acid filler.  This is safe and if needed, completely reversible.  Hyaluronic acid is naturally occurring which will integrate with your facial profile to produce a more natural enhancement.
For lips, different products will give different results and so we will tailor the product we use to the treatment goals.
What is your Combination Filler Plans?
